FIVE JOCKEYS FINED

Five jockeys and one owner were fined at Trentham on Saturday. O. Gallagher (Vane Master), J. Campbell (Gold Robin) and C. H. Mackie iDouble Bid) were each fined £2 by the starter for anticipating the starl of the Tinakori Hack Handicap. • C. A. Bowry, rider of Rival Play in the Autumn ‘Maiden Handicap, and K. Chote were charged under the rule which relates to fraudulent practice with respect to weighing in. The charge concerned certain riding boots owned by Chote and used on loan by Bowry. The two riders were fined £lO each, and an instruction Was given that the boots, wh’ch were the subject of the charge, be handed in to the Racing Conference for inspection. R. C. Southee, owner of Royal Paper, was fined £5 for late scratching of his horse for the Autumn Maiden Handicap.
