BOOKMAKER FINED £SO IN WELLINGTON
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Mar. 7. In the Magistrate’s Court before Mr. A. M. Goulding, S.M., William Bulman, aged 43, grocer, pleaded guilty to a charge of having carried on the business of a bookmaker on Saturday and was fined £SO.
The police stated that when the accused was visited by the police at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday he had taken £l5O in bets. He had not been before the court previously.
