HOSPITAL STAFF VICTIMS OF POLIO
(P.A.) DUNEDIN, Mar. 5. In view of the fact that some members of the staff of the Owaka hospital have been admitted to the Balclutha Hospital as cases of poliomyelitis, the Owaka institution has been closed for a week. Other patients have been transferred to the Balclutha Hospital and some have been sent to their homes.
The total number of polio cases in South Otago has now reached 19, the latest being a Balclutha woman.
