Cominform Forbids Holy Year Functions
VATICAN CITY, Mar. 4,
The Vatican radio announced that the Cominform had issued orders to the Soviet satellite States of Eastern Europe to forbid their nationals to take part in Holy Year celebrations throughout 1950. The radio added that Communist organisations throughout the world had received orders to oppose all celebrations connected with the jubilee year.
