No Real Opposition To Labour Ministry, Says Mr. Bevan
(11 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 6. “Parliament will continue for the full period to give us an opportunity of completing the task we still have in hand,” Mr. Aneurin Bevan, Minister of Health, told a Yorkshire Labour Party meeting. , . „ “After almost four years of this Parliament, our forboding about the inadequacy of the Opposition has been confirmed by Parliamentary experience,” he added. “Now we know that with the ascension of the Labour Party, and the decline of the Liberal Party, there exists at the moment no effective opposition to the Labour Government.”
