SIX NATIONS’ REDS PLEDGE AID TO RUSSIA IN WAR

(N.Z.P.A.—Reuter—Copyright.) (11 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 6. Communist leaders in six more countries have declared that the Communists would fight for n Soviet victory in war. The countries are Finland, Belgium, Austria, Israel, Cuba and Argentina. The secretary of the Finnish Communist Party, M. Ville Pessi, said that the Finnish party’s position towards an aggressor against Russia was the “same as that of the Communists of other countries.”

M. Pessi added: “It is the duty of all Communists and other supporters of peace to rout an aggressor.” The Belgian Communist Party’s central committee passed a resolution declaring that the party would not take part in an aggressive war against Russia and describing as “absurd” the theory that the Soviet would begin a war of aggression. The chairman of the Austrian Communist Party, M. Johann Koplenig, said the Austrian people would not stand “being cannon fodder for the AngloAmerican war-mongers against the Soviet.”

The Communist parties in Cuba and Argentina issued statements warning of the danger of a third world war. The Argentine Communist Party said it would do everything in it's power to ensure a Soviet victory in the event of war.

Following the line of their European and American colleagues, the Israeli Communist leader, Mr. Meir Willner, declared that nobody in Israel would raise a hand against the Red Army if and when the world was plunged into war again,
