RAILCAR HAS ENGINE TROUBLE
Those who turned out at midnight to meet the railcar from Wellington last night had a long vigil. Engine trouble developed shortly after leaving Wellington and the car was an hour late on its schedule at Palmerston North. Normally due at Gisborne at 11.45 p.m., the railcar finally arrived at 2 a.m. . .. Those waiting at the station at the scheduled time of arrival were told the car was not expected until 1 a.m. .and later the time was extended to 2 a.m.
