TOLAGA BAY STUDENTS COMPETE AT SWIMMING

(Herald Correspondent.) The first annual swimming sports of the Tolaga Bay District High School was held at the Te Puia swimming pool on Thursday, when races over distances ranging from 33 l-3yds to 200yds were swum and points allocated to the placegetters. Following is a list of the winners:— Boys’ Senior Championship.—Dean Paea, 1; Percy Parker, 2; Tui Marino, 3. Boys’ Intermediate Championship.— Ted Bradford, 1; Tipi Nukunuku, 2; Charlie Parker, 3. Novelty events included an apple race, a balloon race, and a Corfu dive. Team relay races were won by Form IV and V. Girls’ Senior Championship.—Margaret Maloney, 1: Miria Rapana, 2; Edna McNamara, 3.
