PARATA WINS HANDICAP MATCH ON COUNT-BACK
RIFLE SHOOTING
The Gisborne Defence Rifle Club held its weekly handicap competition over tile 500 and 600yds. distances on the Sponge Bay range on Saturday afternoon.
Seven marksmen returned gross scores equal to the club standard of 95 points and H. Parata, who finished his score at 600yds with three bull's eyes, secured the first prize on the Bislev count-back from W. Lundon, who filled second place, and It. Waikato third.
