Life Ban On Trainer Removed On Appeal
SYDNEY, Mar. 5. The Australian Jockey Club committee has upheld the appeal of the trainer, C. Cullen, against the life disqualification imposed on him by the A..J.C. stewards early this year. Cullen was disqualified as a result of the stewards’ investigation of the report of the A.J.C. analyst, Miss Jean Kimble. Dalston, trained by Cullen, was swabbed after finishing second in a race at Randwi 'k on January 1. Miss Kimble’s analysis revealed that the gelding had been stimulated with a drug of the benzedrine group. The A.J.C. committee has deferred consideration of the appeal of Mrs. W. J. Martin, owner-lessor, against the life disqualification of Dalston.
