TIKITIKI RESIDENTS FAREWELL DISTRICT NURSE
A pleasant function took place in the Tawhiwhirangi Hcmorial Hall when the Rangitukia and Tikitiki residents farewelled Miss P. M. Cory-Wright. district nurse, who left on Friday for Wellington to take a post-graduate course.
After a most enjoyable morning tea, Mrs. George Nepia, in a farewell speech, -paid a tribute to the manner in which the nurse had carried out her duties and said that she had worked tirelessly and unsparingly during her 2t years in the district, Mrs. T. Bush and Mrs. K- G, Runciman also spoke, endorsing Mrs. Nepia’s remarks.
', As a token of appreciation and esteem the guest of honour was presented by Mrs. Nepia with two cheques, one from the Waiapu Women’s Institute and the other from the residents of the district.
