Hotels Will Close At Noon On Polling Day
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Mar. Hotels throughout New Zealand will close at noon next Wednesday, the day of the poll on hotel hours, and the question of the provision of facilities for off-course betting. This was announced today by Mr. Percy Coyle, a director of the National Council of the Licensed Trade. He said that hotels would require to observe the same closing time as on the day of the general election—they must close at noon and remain closed for the rest of the day.
