Workers 7 Compensation Would Be Restored To Private Companies
(P.A.) AUCKLAND,-Mar. 5. An unequivocal declaration that the National Party on becoming the Government would restore to private insurance companies the right to transact workers’ compensation insurance was made by the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. S. G. Holland, in an address to the Auckland Insurance Institute.
He said the National Party would retain the State office and try to run it on an efficient basis. Mr. Holland, whose statement was warmly applauded by 200 members present, chided private enterprise for allowing various industries to be “picked off” one by one instead of presenting a solid front to socialisation.
