Pastors’ Confessions Proof Of “Inhuman Ruthlessness”

The newspaper added that n sinister feature of the Communist trials since the Ramzin trial 18 years ago had been the standardised recantations of the accused.
The Dally Herald declared that some means must have been employed to change staunch opponents into seemingly willing accessories. The use of drugs could not be excluded, but the explanation could be the use of psychological torture —denial of sleep, persistent questioning, threats, promises, and suggestions on weary minds and jaded nerves.
