British Delegates To Pacific Scienc Congress In Dominion

The Royal Society appointed a dele gation of six of its fellows to attend the seventh Pacific Science Congress tc be held at Auckland and Christchurch from February 2 to February 22 The programme of the congress will provide for contributions and discussions on scientific topics of special significance to the Pacific area and of importance for the welfare of Pacific peoples. The delegates are: Dr. G. E. Deacon, hydrologist and a member of the discovery committee of the Colonial Office and senior principal scientific officer of the Royal Naval Scientific Service. Dr. Deacon will also represent the Admiralty. Sir Norman Haworth, professor of chemistry and director of the Department of Chemistry of Birmingham University since 1925, until he retired last October.
Professor H. D Kay, research professor of biochemistry at Reading Uni versity.
Professor G. W. Robinson, professor of Agricultural chemistry at the University College of North Wales. Sir Geoffrey Taylor, Yarrow research professor of the Royal Society Professor G. M. Yonge, regius professor of zoology, Glascow University.
