BURNING PLANE LANDED: PILOT'S DEATH LEAP
PARIS, Dec. 19. The engineer and wireless operator of a French aircraft which caught fire during a trial flight over Central France brought it down safely after the pilot had leapt to his death. The pilot abandoned the plane by parachute from a height of 2000 ft., but the 'chute failed to open.
The other two men took over the controls and, after landing the plane, put out the Are.
