BURNS CLUB
A remarkably large attendance of members of the Burns Club met at Low's reception rooms for the closing meeting of the year and to pay homage to the Scottish bard. The meeting opened with the singing nf the "Star O’ Robbie Burns," and and after the chairman's remarks nil the visitors were warmly welcomed. Miss Leaone Bimler, who won the Burns prize for the best Scottish song at the recent competitions festival, was the guest of the evening and gave several vocal solos, accompanied by Mr ,T. Roderick at the piano. Mrs. Redstone, official pianist, accompanied Miss June Hall, Messrs. Kane. Williams and King in Scottish song and story. Recitations were given bv Mrs. Sutherland, pianoforte solos by Mrs. King and Mr. Roderick, and a humorous sketch by Messrs. J. Middle ton, Williams and King. The evening, and the year's activities, concluded with the National Anthem and "Auld Lang Syne."
