BRIDE FETED
With her marriage to Mr. Win. Ellis arranged for the near future, Miss Ruth Sutherland has been the guest-of-hhnour at a number of gift parties recently. A five till seven party was held at the Bon Accord given by Misses N. Law and P. Muir, who had asked their guests to bring gifts of a miscellaneous nature to the function. Variously shaded hydrangeas were arranged with decorative effect for the party, to which the bride-elect wore a cherry red stud frock. Miss Law had chosen a turquoise blue tailored frock, and Miss Muir geranium pink crepe. An evening function was the party given by Mrs. Evan Craill and Miss Annette Gartshore, at the home of Mrs. W. H. Ellis, Aberdeen road. The gifts given to the bride at this party were all for the bathroom or wash-house. Interesting competitions were held winners being Misses Pat Costello, Valerie Craill and “Billie" McCafferty. As at the "miscellaneous” party, Miss Rae Sutcliffe was at the piano. The bride’s frock was simply styled in turquoise blue material, Mrs. Craill had chosen fuschia and blue colours for hers, and Miss Gartshore was in a new length pink linen gown.
