MYRNA LOY one of the best loved and most celebrated of American film actresses, as she appeared in the 8.8. C. magazine programme ”In Town Tonight” when she visited London recently, Myrna Loy revealed that she has strong ancestral links with Britain, for her father was Welsh, his name being Williams, and her grandmother was a Scot from Edinburgh. This grandmother went into Montana with the wagon trains when it was first being settled. Myrna Loy still owns the ranch in Montana on which she was born. She always wanted to be in films, but did not achieve it until she had tried many other things She began by teaching dancing, then became a film cutter and at last got her first movie part. Myrna Loy is also actively interested in Uno, and chairman of its Hollywood committee. She wants to persuade producers to make films which will be propaganda for peace.
