Rebels Alleged To Have Burned 25 People Alive
(11 a.m.) ATHENS, Dec- 16. The Greek Government has accused rebels of burning 25 people alive and abducting 500 in the raid on the Thessalian town of Karditza last weekend. The Government claims that, the rebels looted 400 houses and shops in the town, which has a population of 15,000. Greek Army casualties at Karditza were 19 killed, 85 wounded and. 23 missing. It was stated that the bodies of 44 rebels had so far been counted. Fifty civilians were killed and 100 wounded.
