Man For Sentence For Series Of Crimes
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH. Dec. 17. Pleading guilty to breaking and entering houses and business premises and stealing from them, and to the unlawful conversion of five motor-cars, Thomas William James, aged 26, was yesterday committed for sentence to the Supreme Court at Auckland. The property and money stolen amounted in value to £4BO and the combined value of the motor-cars appropriated was £2430. In addition, a considerable number of other articles and a large amount of money were admitted by him to have been taken from places broken and entered, but concerning which the charges said only “with intent to commit a crime.”
