ARGENTINE OFFICIALS CHARGED WITH FRAUD
BUENOS AIRES, Dec. 13
Fourteen persons, including some ot President Peron’s closest advisers, were charged today with defrauding the Argentine Government of at least 2,100.000 dollars.
Judge Oscra Baltran, who conducted a preliminary investigation, said the fraud involved obtaining a loan ol Argentine funds for the transfer of s non-existent aluminium plant from Italy to Argentina. He said Italians, who originated the deal, set aside (140.000 dollars of the 2.100,000 I'd bribes to Argentine ollicials.
