INDIES GIVES DUTCH “LAST CHANCE”
WASHINGTON, Dec. 11
Ur. Soemitro, leader of the Indonesian Republican delegation in ttie United Slates, staled today that the decision of his Government to extend a “last chance” to the Netherlands to resume negotiations in the Fast Indies has changed overnight what had been "a critical situation.” Dr. Soemitro stated, however, that “we are prepared for the worst and will remain prepared against the possibility of negotiations for a peaceful settlement failing to succeed.”
