STOP-WORK MEETINGS OF DRIVERS

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 15. Following the recommendations of the union’s assessors after an adjournment of conciliation proceedings, the national executive of the New Zealand Drivers' Federation decided today to call stopwork meetings throughout New Zealand to place before members a statement on the proceedings in conciliation recently

Meetings will be held in each of the main centres in the 12 affiliated union districts on January 23.

Stop-work meetings will also be held in outlying districts, the places and times to be determined. The meetings will be attended by all drivers operating under the general motor and horsedrivers’ award.
