Communist Paper Reporter Barred From Court
PERTH, Dec. 15
A Communist newspaper reporter, Mrs. Joan Williams, lias been ordered from the precincts of I lie Western Australian Arbitration Court.
The president of the court said he would not have members of the staff of the Communist Workers’ Star in court.
Immediately after taking his seat, he asked Mrs. Williams, who was at 1 lie press bench, to stand, and told her she must leave.
Mrs. Williams protested as a member of the Australian Journalists’ Association, and was then removed by a constable.
The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly announced on September 1 the cancellation of admission tickets to the press gallery which it had been proposed to issue to the Workers’ Star.
