PROPERTY DEEMED UNSUITABLE AS HOSPITAL UNIT
Advice that the Matthews property was not considered suitable as a convalescent home, but would be approved for staff accommodation according to the requirements of the board was received by the Cook Hospital Board from the Director of the Division of Hospitals, Dr. L. C. McNicle, at a meeting of the board yesterday.
The letter was received and discussion was deferred until the January meeting. Mr. H. H. Barker said he was disappointed with the reply. He expected that Dr. McNicle would advise the board, but had given no reason wiiy lie considered the property unsuitable as a convalescent home.
