A direction that her body be offered to a hospital for research purposes and, failing acceptance, that it be cremated, is contained in the will of Mrs. Katherine Sophie Thom, widow, of Remuera who died in October. Her estate is valued at £4BOO.
She made bequests totalling over £2500 in sums ranging from £IOO to £SOO set aside for friends at Papakura, Wanganui and Palmerston North for “personal world travel expenses.” The sum of £SOO is left to national children’s homes and an orphanage and sanatorium at Harpenden, Herts.
