PARISIAN COUTURIER TO LECTURE IN OTAGO
(P.A.)
DUNEDIN, Dec. 15.
Undergraduates and others who think the Otago School of Home Science is essentially a feminine preserve are facing a second attack on their defences with the appointment of a Paris couturier as lecturer in clothing and dress design. He is M. Rene Thevemot, couturier, of Paris. Beyond that the only thing known about him in Dunedin is that he is “a young and able.” M. Thevemot, who has been engaged for 1949 only, will join Mr. J. E. P. Murphy, the lecturer in design at the school. They will be the only males to have invaded the teaching staff of this wholly women's college.
