Mayoralty of Lyttelton
Mr. F. G. Briggs, who resigned recently from the mayoralty of Lyttelton, has been selected by the Lyttelton branch of the Labour Party for nomination for the mayoralty. A special meet.ing of the branch was held and Mr. Briggs’ selection was unanimous. Nominations close on December 20 and an election, if necessary, will be held on January 11.
