HE HAD ALL THE FLIES
(10a.m.) CANBERRA, Dec. 15
The Governor-General of New Zealand, Sir Bernard Freyberg, complained yesterday at the graduation ceremony at the Royal Military College, Duntroon, that “a quick one had been put over him.” Tie said: "While I was inspecting the parade, I noticed 1 was the only one being troubled by flies. They told me afterwards that the men had been sprayed with D.D.T.” Sir Bernard was inspecting the cadets at the special invitation of the Governor-General, Air. W. j. McKell, before returning to New Zealand.
