MOSCOW RESENTS U.S. CRITIC OF TREND OF SCIENCE
(II a.m.) MOSCOW, Dec. H. The Soviet Tass News Agency reported today that the world-famous American geneticist. Professor Hermann Joseph Muller, has resigned from the Soviet Academy of Sciences. The academy, in a statement, said that Professor Muller's criticism of recent trends in Soviet biology as leading to support of racial discrimination had caused indignation dn Soviet scientific circles. Professor Muller, according to the academy, had accused Soviet scientists of subordinating their ideas to political necessities. Replying to Professor Muller, the academy said that Soviet scientists were convinced there was no science nor could there be any science which was detached from politics.
