(10.15 a.m.) PARIS, Dec. 14. The secretary of the Communist-led French Federation of Miners, M. Bias, said the federation was considering taking legal action against Lloyds Bank for "unnecessarily delaying payment" on the £IOOO gift cheque for striking miners.
M. Bias said the Scottish miners had raised the money for the French strikers and the cheque was issued in London on November 19. The Paris office of the bank had held the cheque until December 9. It would be handed over to the miners today.
