BRITAIN’S BILL FOR OCCUPATION
(11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 14. The occupation of the British zone ' of Germany has cost Britain £537,000,000 from the end of hostilities to March 31, 1948, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir Stafford Cripps, said in the House of Commons. The nominal value of the British reparations receipts in the period up to the end of last July was £30,400,000.
