AUSTRALIAN MOTORCAR IMPORTS
SYDNEY, Dec. 14. Motor car trade circles believe that all Government controls on American vehicles are the only ones on which the Government priority system remains, as Government controls on the sales of cars from “soft currency” areas were abandoned on December 2. A spokesman for car trading firms says that the removal of the Govern ment priority controls will not mean that anyone can walk in and buy an American car. The importation of chassis will still be limited to dollar 'licenses and the industry will adhere to the priority system to give preference to essential users.
