CHARGE OF PRESS CENSORSHIP TO BE PROBED
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. The appointment of Sir Harold Johnston, K.C., as a commission of inquiry under the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1908, to inquire into allegations that undue restrictions had been placed on the representatives of the press in reporting the finding and recovery oi bodies from the Electra aircraft Kaka which crashed on Mt. Ruapehu on October 23 was announced last night by the acting Prime Minister, Air. W Nash. The commission will commence sittings on Thursday in Parliament Buildings at 10.30 a.m.
Air. J. L. W. Gerken, deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court, Wellington, will act as secretary to the commission.
