N.Z. Giving £40,000 In Goods For Relief In Palestine
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 14 In a statement last night, the actingPrime Minister, Mr. W. Nash, announced the Government’s decision to contribute goods to the value of approximately £40,000 for the relief of refugees in Palestine. Already 50 tons of butter and 25 tons of skim milk powder have been donated by the Government, Mr. Nash said that in order to make up the balance of the contribution action is in train to procure further foodstuffs which will help to relieve the distress and hardship of those persons, both Arab and Jew who, because of the unfortunate conditions in Palestine, have been forced from their homes and their livelihood.
