FIRM RATES MADE AT MORRINSVILLE
An average yarding of fat sheep came forward at the Morrinsvillc stock sale on Friday, and prices were on a par with recent quotations. Fat cows sold freely under keen competition and values remained firm. Store and boner cows also met a firm market. Prices:— Sheep.—Fat wether hoggets, 37s to 395: fat ewes. 275; light hoggets, 34s to 35s fid; light fat lambs. 35s 3d. Cattle. —Medium-weight fat heifers. £l2 2s 6d to £l3 ss; heavy fat Ayrshire cows, £ll to £l2 ss: fat young Jersey cows and heifers, £8 10s to £10: heavy boner cows. £6 10s to £8; medium £4 10s to £6: young paddock cows, £5 10s to £8; bulls, £7 to £l3.
