JOCKEY’S DEATH FOLLOWS INJURIES
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH. Dec. 13. The death of Leonard Herbert Clifford, a jockey, who was injured in a fall in the Stratford Handicap in the Taranaki and Egmont and Wanganui Hunt Clubs’ combined meeting at New Plymouth on August 28. occurred at his home in Hawera on Saturday. He was 30 years of age.
Clifford, who is survived by his wife and one child, was born in Australia and served his apprenticeship in Auckland.
