(10 a.m.) Cape Town, Dec. 10. A report from Maseru (Basutoland) says that an African chief and six followers were sentenced to death today for a ritual murder committed among old graves near the chief’s village. They lured an old native to the graves, strangled him and cut out parts of his body.

Altogether three chiefs and 24 of their followers have been condemned on similar charges this year.
