FOUR IN TASMAN YACHT RACE.—
The South African yawl Springbok has been withdrawn from the Tasman yacht race by the owner, Mr. Tommy Harrison, and will continue the voyage from San Franciso to Cape Town, via Sydney, next month. The number of competitors for the race to start from Sydney on January 29 is now four—Peer Gynt. defender, of Sydney; Seaward, of Tauranga; Miranda, of Lyttelton, and Ghost, of Auckland. Seaward leaves Tauranga for Sydney on December 18 and the others probably before the end of the month.
