INDIANS ATTITUDE TO BRITISH CHANGED

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 10. “There has been a wonderful change in the attitude of the Indian people toward the British and each other since they secured independence. They never hated the British —only resented British rule.”

This was staled by Mr. J. P. Crozier, a New Zealand missionary in India for many years, who returned by air yesterday on a short visit seeking recruits for the Poona and Indian village mission.

He added that Christianity was spreading in India—he could not speak for Pakistan —and the Government was recognising and helping it

The new Governor of Bombay was a Christian and several high Government officials were converts. The National Christian Council estimated the conversions numbered 12,000 monthly.
