£10,498 WENT TO FOOD FOR U.K. FUND
“MISS N.Z ” QUEST
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 9. The duly audited statement of receipts and payments in the “Miss New Zealand” quest, released today, gives the following particuars of receipts and payments:— Candidates’ entrance fees totalled £13,112 10s lOd; donations, £995 4s 2d: proceeds from concert and ball. £283 12s 8d; total receipts £14,39(1 7s Bd. A total of £10,498 9s lid went to the Royal Society of St. George food-for-Britain fund. Prizes totalled £1455 17s lid; general expenses, £179 9s 3d; publicity, printing and stationery, £330 0s sd; postages, telegrams and tolls, £137 18s; travelling expenses of “Miss New Zealand” candidates, judges and executive director, £735 2s 2d: salary and commission of executive director (including clerical assistance), £1059 10s; total, £14,396 7s Bd.
