Doctors Visit King Resting In Bed
(11 a.m.)
LONDON, Nov. 30.
Two doctors, Sir John Weir and Professor J R. Learmouth visited the King at Buckingham Palace this morning. He is continuing to take complete rest in bed but is carrying out routine Stale business.
Commenting on the bulletin about His Majesty, the Daily Telegraph’s medical correspondent says the fact that the plural word “feet” was used for the first time indicates that both sides are affected and that the condition is either thrombo-arterio sclerosis (thickening of arteries) of thromboangiitis obliterans (occlusion of arteries.) '
In both these conditions, the anxiety is that an obstruction to the blood flow involve risk to the toes or foot.
