DISLIKE OF NEW R.A.F. UNIFORM
One o{ the reasons he had come to New Zealand was that he did not like the new R.A.F. uniform, said one oi 36 Air Force personnel who arrived at Wellington aboard the Mataroa. The men are on transfer to the R.NZ.A.F. The new uniform did without the familiar side pockets on the jacket, he said, and was not as comfortable. “As for the overcoats, they are heavy, shapeless lumps of material.” Most of the 36 men are technicians or fitters, a type of man tire R.N.Z.A.F. urgently needs.
