RUGBY BROADCASTS
Sir—From a perusal of future radio broadcasts in the official organ of the N.Z.B.S. I learn that the Ranfurly Shield match between Hawke's Bay and Otago last Saturday was re-broadcast by Station 2YH. I also notice, however, that no such arrangement ha s been made in regard to the Poverty Day challenge next Saturday. Why nUV ST. KILDA
[The manager T 2ZJ states ti at negotiations for the GisDorne cislrict coverage of the Poverty Bay-Otago game have been in progress for several weeks and, if conditions are satisfactory the description will be rebroadcast from the station during the play. For subsequent rebroadcast tbe disc of a recording in Dunedin would be sent by air and should be available in Gis borne early in' the following week. Telegraphed advice received today by the P.B. Rugby Union from the touring manager of the representative team, moreover, states that arrangements have been completed for station 2YH (new call sign 2YZ) Napier to broadcast the description of Saturday’s game.—Ed. Herald!
