AUCKLAND HAS 17 IN ALL BLACK TRIAL FROM SEVEN UNIONS
Including three among the reserves, the Auckland Rugby Union has supplied 17 of the players to appear in the All Black trial planned to represent the eight unions in the northern half of the North Island at Auckland on Saturday. Any Poverty Bay and East Coast players required by the selectors Messrs. M. F. Nicholls, C. Brown, K. H. Reid and T. Pearce, after the trial in Gisborne on August 18 would normally be included in the teams for Saturday’s trial, but. in the case of Poverty Bay representatives it was requested that other arrangements bo made in view of the Ranfurly Shield game between Poverty Bay and Otago.
