Good Luck Wishes to Rugby Side

Best wishes for success during the tour of the South Island were extended to the Poverty Bay Rugby representatives by the union president, Mr. G. J. Jeune, the secretary, Mr. W. McKee, and a considerable number of other district residents assembled at the Gisborne railway station prior to the departure of the 3.30 o’clock railcar this morning carrying the touring party on the first stage of the journey. The crossing to the South Island is to be made by the inter-island ferry steamer leaving Wellington this evening, and tomorrow morning the tourists are due at Christchurch, where Ihe opening game is to be played against Canterbury on Wednesday.
