British Naval Diver Sets World Record
(10 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 29. Petty Officer W. Ballard, who descended 535 ft. from the submarine rescue ship Reclaim into Loch Fyne, Argyllshire, set up a new world record dive which America held at 440 ft. Petty Officer Ballard wore a specially adapted diving suit.
