U.S. WANTS EUROPE ON HER FEET BY 1952
PARIS, July 22,
Mr. Paul Hoffman, Marshall Plan administrator, arrived in Paris today for consultations with the nations taking part in the European recovery programme. He said that America wanted the European recovery completed by 1952. He added that America wanted to complete a four-year programme and then get out of Europe.
