Badminton Player’s Death On Courts
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 24. Mr. Charles Orrel Lyon, of Waitui, a farmer, aged 49. collapsed and died the moment after finishing playing in a match at the Taranaki Badminton Association championship tournament at New Plymouth Inst night.
Mr. Lyon had been a keen player of badminton for more than 30 years. The event he was contesting was (he men’s singles for veterans.
